About Our Collection
The Ave Maria School of Law Library has created a first-rate collection composed of hardcopy, microfiche, and the latest electronic database formats. It is especially strong in U.S. Supreme Court, the Catholic Intellectual Tradition, Natural Law, Canon Law, Legal History, and Legal Ethics materials. Electronic databases of note include the Making of Modern Law, Hein Online, LLMC Digital, LEXIS/NEXIS Congressional, and U.S. Supreme Court Records and Briefs. Contemporary titles in political science, economics, history, and philosophy augment the collection.

Students Come First
The Ave Maria Law Library is a facility that truly caters to students first. We have created a student-friendly environment where food and beverages are allowed everywhere in the Library. A "Law in Popular Culture" video collection has been created and there is a plethora of contemporary and Catholic newspapers and magazines available for reading. An energetic, quality staff provides assistance and top level service. Multiple group study rooms are available for student use and the Library has an open, browsable reserve area as well. Various types of seating are available for students, including carrel, table, and soft-seating.

Students may check out one of the several notebook computers available for loan from the IT Department in West Hall. These computers are configured as other computers in the Law School, including the addition of Microsoft Office. For added student convenience, restrooms have been located within the Library and the Library itself is located on one floor. Library hours are liberal and are extended during the Final Exam period. Finally, while our goal is to make the Library as student oriented as possible, we ask that all students remember that it is a shared community resource and request that students be respectful of the needs of others in its use. Also, please be aware that the entire library is a quiet area at all times.
